Photochemically Induced Dynamic Nuclear Polarization of Heteronuclear Singlet Order

چکیده
Photochemically induced dynamic nuclear polarization (photo-CIDNP) is a method to hyperpolarize spins using light. In most cases, CIDNP experiments are performed in high magnetic fields and the sample irradiated by light inside resonance (NMR) spectrometer. Here we demonstrate photo-CIDNP hyperpolarization generated Earth’s field under zero- ultralow-field (ZULF) conditions. Irradiating containing tetraphenylporphyrin para-benzoquinone for several seconds with light-emitting diodes produces strong of 1H 13C spins, enhancing NMR signals more than 200 times. The hyperpolarized spin states at ZULF different. latter case, state corresponds singlet order between scalar-coupled 1H–13C spins. This has longer lifetime field. simple cost-efficient should be applicable many molecular systems known exhibit photo-CIDNP, including amino acids nucleotides.

Direct enhancement of nuclear singlet order by dynamic nuclear polarization.
Hyperpolarized singlet order is available immediately after dissolution DNP, avoiding need for additional preparation steps. We demonstrate this procedure on a sample of [1,2-(13)C(2)]pyruvic acid.

In natural photosynthesis, the two photosystems that operate in series to drive electron transport from water to carbon dioxide are quite similar in structure and function, but operate at widely different potentials. In both systems photochemistry begins by photo-oxidation of a chlorophyll a, but that in photosystem II (PS2) has a 0.7 eV higher midpoint potential than that in photosystem I (PS1...

We describe experimental results and theoretical models for nuclear and electron spin relaxation processes occurring during the evolution of 19F-labeled geminate radical pairs on a nanosecond time scale. In magnetic fields of over 10 T, electron-nucleus dipolar cross-relaxation and longitudinal DeltaHFC-Deltag (hyperfine coupling anisotropy--g-tensor anisotropy) cross-correlation are shown to b...
متن کاملInteraction of epidermal growth factor with micelles monitored by photochemically induced dynamic nuclear polarization-1H NMR spectroscopy.
Photochemically induced dynamic nuclear polarization (CIDNP)-1H-NMR spectroscopy has been used to study the interaction of the protein hormone epidermal growth factor (EGF) with micelles of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and dodecylphosphorylcholine (DPC). Conventional 1H-NMR spectra show that most protein resonances remain unperturbed when micelles are added to solution, which argues that the ov...
